The Unplugged Rear Decklid Spoiler for Tesla Model X seamlessly integrates with the rear hatch, lights and quarter panels to provide a subtle lengthening of the body, thus smoothing airflow and providing a more dynamic rear profile.
The Rear Decklid Spoiler leverages a ‘Kamm effect’ design, which is considered incredibly efficient at reducing the low-pressure area of a trailing wake at the rear of the vehicle. The Kamm-tail design continues, and elongates, the aerodynamic the teardrop shape of the hatch to improve the turbulence-reducing effect of Tesla’s original design. The Spoiler is engineered to smooth air passage across the vehicle, thereby reducing drag and improving high-speed stability and efficiency.
The Spoiler is designed to accommodate all Tesla Model X model versions including P100D models equipped with the Tesla Active Rear Spoiler. Movement of the optional Active Rear Spoiler is not impeded in any way. It is also designed to accommodate the original Tesla emblems and can be painted to match any factory Tesla color. Installation can be performed in minutes with no drilling or permanent modification of the vehicle.
